Felicita yacht and champagne

Over the weekend, Erica, Michelle and I had the best time ever!! On Saturday, Erica and I went to La Goa and ate at this seafood restuarant. We ordered this seafood sampler that had tons of shrimp, two crab cakes, and a fish dish. It was so much food for so little money, only $42 reais, equivalant to $22 american dollars. It was a shame that we had to throw it away. But as we were finishing our meal, I was admiring the lagoon that the resturant was sitting on, and just happened to say "I wonder where we could rent a boat?". There were these three middle-aged women that were watching us the whole time, and right after I muttered the word "boat" they began to talk to us. They told us that they had a boat and invited us to go if we wanted to go on the water. Erica and I jumped at the chance and quickly got the bill and paid it. We caught up to the Brazilian desperate housewives who introduced us to their rich husbands, which there after we climbed on their yacht, named "felicita".
While on the boat, we all drank champagne and ate american junk food, I was having the best time ever! The owner of the boat was one of the ladies named Mia, who was boasting about being 50 and looking great. The two other women agreed and said that they were living the life. One of the husbands was on board too and another woman chatted with us in broken English, asking us questions to satisfy their confusion of why two american girls from long beach were in Brazil? We must of been convincing in our answers as our next stop was Mia´s weekend mansion on the La Goa cannel. Her house was HUGE! It was so beautifully decorated and I just wished our hotel was our house. It also made me wonder how much houses here in Brazil are? But, as we got back to our hotel, I concluded that what turned out to be a pretty crappy morning turned into the best night I had in Brazil.
